Valedictory service – Pat Jamison
A valedictory service for mission partner Pat Jamison will be on Sunday 24th Jan. at 7.00 pm in Newtownabbey Methodist Mission. This is Pat’s home church. Although some work still needs to be done, it is hoped that Pat will be travelling to Bangladesh in late January/early February to take up her post in a rural clinic.
Sloan Family - furlough
The Sloan family will be home in Northern Ireland on a short furlough (around 16th February for 10 days or so). Should you wish to have a visit from Barry or Gillian, then please contact Barry directly at barrysloan@freenet.de.

World Development & Relief annual reports
New annual reports have been sent to all Methodist churches with stories from our partners. They also have a full list of all funded partners. The WDR Committee is developing its application process further so that your money can be used even more effectively in some of the most needy parts of the world. Please continue to support the WDRF 1% Appeal through one-off giving or contact the office for a standing order form to spread your donation throughout the year.
Speaker available from Israel/Occupied Palestinian Territories
From August to November 2009, Barbara Walshe served in Bethlehem as part of an Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme. Sponsored by the World Council of Churches, it supports Palestinians and Israelis working for peace. While there, Barbara worked as part of a team at Checkpoint 300 in Bethlehem which controls access to work, education and health care in Jerusalem and Israel and witnessed and recorded the stories of people caught in conflict. Barbara ais interested in sharing her experience and is available to do talks and presentations in Ireland. Contact her at walshe.barbara@gmail.com

If you would like to add a global element to your children’s work then ask for the JMA Active pack which has ideas, stories and activities. The pack for 2010 has a Sri Lankan flavour and associated project.
